Ultra-low power sensor PCB with coin cell on an electronics bench

Ultra-low power sensors

Battery nodes that have to last a field season. PIR, IMU, load, magnetic, acoustic, pulse, and glass sensing, with WiFi, mesh, or 5G when the hall needs a radio.

If the node dies in six weeks, the fleet map has holes

We write the sleep budget before layout: sample rate, radio on-time, enclosure, and cell size. The fixture on the line checks the transducer, not only the 3.3 V rail. PIR, IMU, load, magnetic, acoustic, pulse, and glass-wearable boards take that same plant path: DFM, SMT, programming, then CE or FCC samples.

The radio sits on the same BOM when the robot or the hall needs a backhaul. Duty cycle and antenna keepout decide whether the battery math holds.

  • Aisles, docks, and yards

Wake a robot or a camera only when something moves. PIR and movement nodes for halls where always-on vision burns the battery.

  • Feet, wrists, and grippers

Accelerometer, G-meter, angle, weight, and magnetometer boards. Production units match the lab sample because calibration lives in the fixture, not a one-off bench setup.

  • Mesh packs a robot can drop

Radio, antenna keepout, and OTA on the same BOM as the transducer. Useful when a fleet needs hall-level data instead of one more camera on the head.

  • Honest cell size

Sleep current, sample rate, and radio on-time are written down before copper. You know if a coin cell is fantasy before stencil spend.

  • Lab sample equals line unit

The fixture checks the MEMS, load cell, or microphone. Firmware and programming image ride with the board so field packs match the one your team already qualified.

  • A pack you can deploy

Pilot packs for a US or EU site, CE or FCC samples, and a mesh or 5G bring-up note your robotics team can run without a factory visit.

Questions labs send with the RFQ

Can PIR, IMU, and a 5G modem share one board? Yes, when the duty cycle is written down. We DFM the analog front end and the radio on the same board or as a stacked pair, then program both images on the line.

Who owns the training data? You do. Instrumented nodes can log samples with timestamp and IMU. We manufacture the logger and, if you ask, the field units that reuse the same hardware.

What should the first email include? Transducer list, target sleep current, radio (none, WiFi, mesh, 5G), enclosure constraints, year-one volume, and destination markets. Contact.
